We don’t need no stinking Second Amendment!
After being burned by his nomination of Debo Adegbile to head up the civil rights division at the Department of Justice, President Obama has jumped right back into the fray with another radical nominee, this time for Surgeon General.
But what makes Vivek Hallegere Murthy such a controversial choice for the post is not what you might expect. It’s not that he is a champion of late-term abortions (though he probably is) or believes in fully government-subsidized sex reassignment surgeries (though he probably does).
The problem with Murthy, rather, is his position on guns. Namely, he thinks one of the questions doctors should ask patients during a routine medical history is whether the person has any guns in his home. Read more at: libertyunyielding.com.
So last night the President stated “Citizenship means standing up for the lives that gun violence steals from us each day.”
For the millions of Naturalized Citizens like myself, Citizenship gives me the right to own a firearm and SHOOT the low life criminal who intends harm on me or my family. PERIOD.

Governor Christie has been getting a lot of attention since his recent re-election last week. Both the Republican establishment and Democratic pundits as well as the main stream media have all but crowned him as the 2016 GOP presidential nominee. Never mind his position on illegal immigration and the Second Amendment, or his big Obama hug (anyone remember Charlie Crist?). But in an ongoing poll from Eagle Rising/LastResistance.com, it appears that Conservatives feel differently. Check out the poll below, and scroll down to the bottom to see up to the minute results and cast your vote for the Republican you would LEAST want as President. Note, the results below are as of 10:30 PM on Monday.
The voters from two districts in Colorado woke up a few days ago and finally voted out two elected officials whom had no problem stepping on their 2nd Amendment rights.
Needless to say the Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was not happy.
Wasserman Schultz noted that the NRA did not get what they wanted, because Democrats still control the Colorado state House, Senate and Governor’s office, and that the gun laws already passed will remain in force. But Debbie, it sure is nice to hold our elected officials accountable. It does set a great example for the rest of the country.

How refreshing to know that the majority of Sheriffs on Colorado oppose the newly enacted State gun regulations. “Sheriffs are probably the most respected elected officials in the state,” so it carries a lot of clout when this many of them “challenge the governor.”

“…This will not only lessen the call for military establishments, but if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow-citizens…”
Strum Ruger’s corporate headquarters is in Connecticut. Does anyone remember Sandy Hook and the Draconian anti-Second Amendment gun laws that followed? No wonder their new plant and 470 new jobs will be in liberty friendly North Carolina!

RALEIGH, N.C. — Sturm, Ruger & Co. said Tuesday that it aims to keep up with demand for its guns by opening a new factory in the small North Carolina community already home to America’s largest firearms maker.
Southport, Conn.-based Sturm, Ruger says it will open a new factory in Mayodan to meet firearm demand that has spiked since Congress and some states sought to toughen gun controls. The community is already headquarters to Freedom Group Inc., which owns Bushmaster, Remington and other firearms brands. Read more: at newsobserver.com.
Hurray for Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis for calling Senator Dick Durbin the bully that he is. I guess when the IRS looses some of it’s effectiveness to bully, it is up to the elected officials to pick up the slack. As you may know, freshman Congressman DeSantis represents a part of our North Central Florida area and certainly understands the importance of the 2nd Amendment and protecting it from the never ending over reach of government. Sen. John McCain (R-Sunday Shows) expressed bewilderment on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that GOP Sens. Cruz, Lee and Paul would filibuster gun control legislation. “I don’t understand it,” McCain said. “The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” With all due respect to Sen. McCain, that is almost completely backward.
The purpose of the US Senate is not to be some federal debating society. It is not tasked with taking the great issues of the day and giving its “august” members a platform for their musings on policy. The public does not look to the Senate for guidance in its deliberations on the issues.
The Senate’s first, and only, task is to uphold the Constitution. Read more at breitbart.com.
This adds new meaning to the term: “Cold Dead Hands.”
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper last week signed bills that require background checks for private and online gun sales and ban ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds. Magpul Industries, which manufactures firearms accessories and ammunition magazines, said on its Facebook page that it would have “no choice” but to leave if the magazine bill was signed, causing an opening for states eager to prove they’re more gun-friendly, like Alaska.
