Why I Do Not Like The Obamas

The other evening on my twitter, a person asked me why I didn’t like the Obama’s? Specifically I was asked: “I have to ask, why do you hate the Obama’s? It seems personal not policy related. You even dissed their Christmas family pic.” The truth is I do not like the Obamas, what they represent, their ideology, and I certainly do not like his policies and legislation.

I’ve made no secret of my contempt for the Obamas. As I responded to the person who asked me the aforementioned question, I don’t like them because they are committed to the fundamental change of my/our country into what can only be regarded as a Communist state.  Continue reading at:  mychal-massie.com.

Florida Tea Parties Invite Gunmakers to Move South

Magpul Indistries Corp, a company that manufactures gun related products and whose headquartered in Colorado, is leaving the state.  Why would a company run by dedicated and extremely ethical individuals, who have always promoted the fact that it’s products are proudly made in Colorado, suddenly want to leave the state?  The answer is both sad and simple, the state’s new Draconian gun laws.  Below is a copy of a post that recently appeared on the company’s Facebook page:

We’re hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then… We’re not a political company. We don’t play political games. We’ve made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We’ve already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone (emphasis added).

Well the now infamous Colorado gun laws have passed the State House and are now working their way through the Senate.  And as Magpul is planning to leave the hostile environment of Colorado, other more gun/business friendly states have been recruiting them as well as other manufacturers.  Just this week, the Florida Alliance, a statewide coalition of tea party leaders, sent a letter penned by our own Paula Helton, and signed by other Alliance members, inviting Magpul to relocate to the Sunshine State.  I was proud to add my name to this letter which is also being sent to other gun and associated products manufactures located in gun-hostile states.

Talk about boots on the ground!  The national personalities below have just spent five days in Wisconsin fighting for our unalienable rights including:  Fiscal Responsibility, Limited Government and Free Markets.

Tea Party Express Announces “Reclaiming Our Future” 7th National Bus Tour

June 1st – June 11th

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is launching its “Reclaiming Our Future” national bus tour on June 1st in Wisconsin.

Amy Kremer, Chairman of Tea Party Express, said, “This tour kicks-off with a heavy focus in Wisconsin in the days leading up to the critical recall election. There is a stark contrast between what is happening in D.C. under the direction of President Obama and Vice President Biden, and that of Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in Wisconsin. If we are going to reclaim our future, we must encourage bold conservative solutions to rein in the size, cost, and intrusiveness of the federal government. The conservative leadership in Wisconsin has done just that and the people of the entire country should be told about it.

“We will be stopping in all four districts of the State Senators facing recall and rallying conservatives around the achievements of the Walker and Kleefisch Administration. This get-out-the-vote effort aims to engage voters in the recall and encourage them to get involved in the days immediately before the recall.

“In addition to Wisconsin, the Reclaiming Our Future tour will travel to Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

“The unsustainable national debt and political climate that discourages innovators and entrepreneurs is making the American Dream less of a reality for our children. We want the focus on bringing back American prosperity. Wisconsin is getting it right and Washington D.C. could learn a thing or two from the successes of Gov. Walker and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch.

“Pro-growth, free-market solutions to ensure the American Dream benefit everyone. The only way to change this current economic path that is leaving us with a weak recovery, at best, is to change the players and policies that got us here. The Tea Party movement started in 2009 with dramatic election successes in 2010, which will continue with more success in November of 2012,” Kremer concluded.

Details for the “Reclaiming Our Future” national bus tour can be found HERE.

Message to our Patriots

Hi,Everyone!

Last week there was some confusion displayed by a local radio talk show host as to whether the Gainesville Tea
Party is endorsing a specific candidate for the Alachua county commission election. The confusion appeared to have been caused by a personal email sent by me urging attendance at a fundraiser for this candidate. This email was not sent to our membership but was sent to selected recipients and was not a public memo. Gainesville Tea Party continues to not endorse candidates but will vet candidates and hold forums for our members and the public. The steering committee does not publicly endorse candidates. We do encourage all of our members to become personally involved with candidates to help those that hold our values get elected.

That being said, to be clear and to hopefully end any possible controversy I am announcing that I personally support John Martin for the District 1 seat. And I urge everyone to get to work to help the candidates of your choice! This election is crucial if we are to ensure limited government and fiscal responsibility are returned to our government.

Thank you all for all that you do!

Show Down This Friday- Talk of The Town 99.5

Please tune in to Talk of The Town this Friday on the STAR 99.5 at HIGH NOON  as your GTP Vice President will inquire why the hosts have continued to state that the GTP is in favor of a sales tax. After a month of listening to  them spread misinformation while disparaging the GTP leadership, it’s time to have them lay the cards on the table. I will state our position on the referendum, the voters and some candidates who have helped with the false allegations. It’s time to get the facts out to the voters.

Will the cowboy on the appaloosa ride another day?

Hopefully the hosts will allow me to stay on and talk about a myriad of issues confronting all of us.

So please listen Talk of The Town tomorrow at high noon on The Star 99.5. Do call in as your thoughts and concerns are important.

You can also catch the show live as it streams on line at www.thestar.fm

Thanks,

Rod Gonzalez
