The November 2nd election of the first limited government Alachua County Commissioner in over 22 years has been great in more ways than one may think.

Immediately after Commissioner Susan Baird took her oath she embarked on a mission to CUT spending and reduce strangling business regulations.  As one of five commissioners she has a difficult uphill battle but she has also shed light on many irregularities of Alachua County politics.  One such item she brought attention to was “special meetings”: meetings of which most citizens were unaware.

In comes Ward Scott!!

Ward Scott, with the assistance of  concerned citizens, has uncovered some  questionable actions by the Commissioners in what has become known as “The Meetings Before The Meetings”; again, meetings that were held with no public scrutiny because the citizens were not aware of their existence.

Click on the link below to access the Ward Scott files to listen to some of these meeting audio files and see how some of the most important issues affecting Alachua County are handled, in essence, behind closed doors.  The link takes you to the Alachua Republican website which has offered to help host the Ward Files.
